如何区分风景相关的不同英语单词

spectacle。本意是“眼镜”；spectacle 作名词的意思包括“风景、场面”，多用来形容壮丽奇特，让人大开眼界的景象或事件。

例：

We were overwhelmed by the spectacle of the small village.

Ten thousand people all dancing at the same time, what a spectacle!

View。这个词的侧重点在于从某个较高的地点看到的美景。

例：

This room has the best view of the garden.

sight，这个词也可以指眼睛看到的一切景象。不过， sight 看到的不一定都是美景，而是指客观看到的一切景象，如果想要用 sight 表示“风景”之意，那么就要把它变成复数形式 sights。

例：

Reading e-books on smartphones is a common sight on the tube these days.

My sister showed me around the sights of the city.

scene。Scene 指某个事件发生的场景，或者指“风景”。

例：

The police are searching the crime scene.

Scenery。在上述单词中，scenery 是最直接表达“风景”这个意思的词，其核心意思就是“风景、景色”。

例：

The island has the most spectacular scenery in this region.
