翻译必备技能：别小看词性转换

谈翻译扯词性怎么感觉那么不靠谱？别瞧不起这一点，在翻译中这个是有很大的发挥空间呢。

想必大家都知道汉语和英语在语法和表达习惯上是有差异的：汉语为语义性语言，不受形态的约束，动词使用较为自由，汉语中动词的使用频率高于英语；英语为形态性语言，动词与主语必须保持一致、动词的运用受到一定的限制，因此，在实际的运用过过程中，名词的使用频率比动词高；同样，英语中使用虚词如介词、冠词等的情况也多于汉语。所以改变原文某些词语的词类（也叫词性）才能有效地传达原文的意思，当然也能使译文符合译入语的特点和表达习惯。

(1)This company has a large business connection.

这家公司交易很广。（名词一动词）

(2)Application of computers makes for a tremendous rise in labor productivity.

使用电脑可以大大提高劳动生产率。（名词一动词）

(3)We are deeply convinced of the determined to pursue of the correctness of this policy and firmly determined to pursue it.  

我们坚信这一政策是正确的，并有坚定的决心继续奉行。（名词一形容词）

(4)This instrument is characterized by its compactness and portability

这种仪器的特点是结构紧凑，携带方便。（动词一名词）

(5)The volume of trade has increased tremendously to the advantage of both countries.

贸易量有了很大的增加，这给两国都带来了利益。（动词一名词）

(6 )Little islands stud the lake.

湖内小岛星罗棋布。（动词一形容词）

(7)We recognize that intellectual property protection is important for the development of new medicine.

我们认识到知识产权的保护对新药开发的重要性。（形容词一名词）

(8)This handicraft is popular with the foreign friends.

这种手工艺品很受外国友人喜爱。（形容词一动词）

(9)They are not content with their achievements.

他们不满意自己取得的成绩。（形容词一动词）

虽然这几个例子仅仅涉及名词、动词、形容词词性的部分转换，可是已经体现了词性转换的强大实力，你感受到了吗？
