l  Read the statements and underline the key words in each one

l  Read the texts (details are important)

Note: 2 for 3 texts, 1 for 1 text

Match sentences to the gaps in the text

Techniques

Note: 7 option sentences with 1 extra and 1 example

Steps:

.Cross out the example sentence (G)

.Read the text and stop at one or two sentences after the gap.

.Read the sentences

.Look for clues: Matching with immediate context (e.g. looking for the answer to the question; plural/single forms; “alternatively” suggesting two options; “however” suggesting a different or opposite situation…)

.Reread the part of the text with the gap filled to make sure it flows and matches well.

.Cross out the ones you’ve chosen, choose from the rest
